Investigate the Reliability of Physiological Measures During a Non-Motorised Treadmill Team-Sport Simulation

To our knowledge this is the first study to extensively investigate the reliability of physiological measures during a non-motorised treadmill team-sport simulation.The mean (±SD) physiological responses of HR, VO2 and post exercise [BLa−] in this study were similar to those reported during field-based running protocols and other non-motorised treadmill soccer-specific simulations.The present results show a high reproducibility of mean HR during the teamsport simulation with a TE of 2.6 beats min−1 . This is in agreement with previous research reporting a low TE for mean HR during the first and second half of a 90-min soccer-specific non-motorised treadmill protocol.Similarly, low within-subject variability was shown for VO2 in the present study.
