  we examined adjustments in running mechanics during treadmill HIIT in its ‘classical’ form (i.e., ‘30–30’ HIIT involving repetitions of 30 s runs at 115% of vVO 2max interspersed with 30 s of rest) in high-level team-sport players. We hypothesized that completing one set of treadmill HIIT at constant velocity would require mechanical adjustments, as alterations in step length/frequency and K vert /K leg leading to concomitant adjustments in LR.
